 Welcome to Our New Principal: Mrs. Neelie Parker

 

Neelie Parker graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga receiving her bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary School Learning. She began her teaching career at East Brainerd Elementary in 1997 teaching kindergarten and then moved to fourth grade.

 

She earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and in 2002, moved into administration as assistant principal at Calvin Donaldson Elementary and then became principal at East Lake Elementary in 2004.

 

Mrs. Parker is a native of Chattanooga. She is married and has a seven year old son. She really enjoys spending time with family, traveling and shopping. The thing she is looking most forward to in becoming the principal is getting to know the students, staff members and families. Big Ridge has a great history of being a great school! Mrs. Parker wants to work hard to maintain the great work that is taking place.

Join PTA and Become a Big Ridge Bulldog Benefactor!
 

Hey Parents!  Catch the wave and join the Big Ridge PTA today. Only $5 per person supports your local, state, and national PTA. Membership dues provide “totally awesome” benefits to our students.  They fund weekly art classes, classroom supplies, special speakers, technology, and classroom enrichment.

Enter the competition to see which classrooms can achieve 100% participation in the PTA Membership Drive.  Students, parents, grandparents, family members, and friends can join.  The Membership Drive begins August 4 on Registration Day and the competition ends at 3:00pm on Friday, September 3. Each member will be represented outside your child’s classroom. All classes with 100% participation will receive a special party.
